We will be honking, waving & handing out cookies on 20th & Wall to raise awareness of the Vote underway but also to thank Ogden for being a city that has welcomed me so much in politics. The positivity of the community has warmed my heart & been an example of how open to others Ogden is. The people of Ogden are welcoming & good neighbors.
If you would like to come out & help me hand out cookies to passerby's I would love your support!
Oct 23rd 20th Wall

The title of my blog reflects my desire to share what it is like to be a Muslim in America who's in politics. When I have worn niqab I have found it to be hard to convey friendly intent. It can be hard to push past preconceived ideas of what a Muslim is and how she feels. I hope to change that.
