The title of my blog reflects my desire to share what it is like to be a Muslim in America who's in politics. When I have worn niqab I have found it to be hard to convey friendly intent. It can be hard to push past preconceived ideas of what a Muslim is and how she feels. I hope to change that.

Door Knocking with the Khalaf Campaign.
Come join the Khalaf Campaign as we knock on doors to discuss Ogden's issues with the community & promote my campaign.
We can't know what the community wants unless we talk to them & hear thier concerns.
it's great exercise & a lot of fun!https://www.facebook.com/events/524639197891104/?context=create&previousaction=create&ref=5&page_id_source=1118305691608983&sid_create=512689905&action_history=[%7B%22surface%22%3A%22create_dialog%22%2C%22mechanism%22%3A%22page_create_dialog%22%2C%22extra_data%22%3A[]%7D]&has_source=1
